Jordan to Malta

JORDAN TO VALETTA -MALTA

Agaba-Jordan we were leaving…
On April 3 at seven in the evening.

The next stop in Safaga Egypt…
For safety reason was skipped.

We headed for the Suez Canal behind the cruise ship The Amsterdam
In a real “ship traffic” jam

Due to a dredging demographic..
The Suez Canal temporarily can only handle one way traffic.

The crossing for tomorrow at 2 pm could only be guaranteed…
If the Captain picked up speed.

And hope the passengers in daylight could enjoy…
Crossing the Sues Canal in a 30 ship convoy.

He made it on time but then…
No local pilot was available till 4 pm.

High hills of dredged sand …
Prevented us to see much of the land.

Luckily I was here before…
And was then able to see more.

Now we crossed during the night…
And not until we passed did it get light .

In this part of the world we wonder…Internet
What is that?

But Sea days are relaxing…
Hearing ALL world news can be emotionally taxing.

This Easter I missed seeing my grandchildren with little legs
Running for eggs.

I will have to wait for internet to have a look
At their Easter picture on Face Book.
Easter at Sea
We enjoyed “High Tea”
And a spectacular “Easter Brunch” while sailing in the Mediterranean Sea.

Tomorrow for the first time I will see Valetta
On Malta
