HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGARET
I’m happy you live on my floor,
And we are strangers no more.
The years slip by so fast,
And I am happy we met at last.
You lived here for years,
And I was not aware of you shedding tears.
Or if for meeting your neighbor you had a need,
After you lost Keith.
Then after Frans died we met one day
By the elevator in the hallway.
It is a pleasure indeed
To call you for fun or a need.
I look forward to many more years,
To share more laughter than tears.
While we walk, shop, talk, travel or dine.
And enjoy a good glass of wine.
So today Dutch chocolates I send
For the birthday of a dear friend.
