Our family home in Holland had oak flooring
And without any rugs was a bit boring.

So we visited many stores and markets
To find the right Oriental carpets.

Someone told us we had to go…
To a town called Venlo.

We then had to look no more
Because we found what we were looking for.

And without apprehension
We bought five the same rugs… but with a different dimension.

And at once our oak floor…
Was boring no more.

When we sold our thatched roof country home in 2008
We decided to have the rugs packed in a big crate…

Along with other family antiques…
For which the shipping took many weeks.

The rugs now cover the floors of the second generation,
And the third already shows admiration.

To buy them has been good choice
As besides… keeping down the noise…

They keep us connected with the past…
While life flies by to fast!
