I am taking Tegretol
And forgetfulness is the worst side effect of all.

I do not easily recall events or places
Or well known phrases.

Sometimes I want to scream
Because my memory fails me midstream!

Blurred vision is next on the list
Which also did not preexist.

And the poor coordination.
Is an uncomfortable sensation.

Also difficult to take
Is that my hands constantly shake

But I guess I should not complain
Because it is all more tolerable then the excruciating pain.

The electrical jolts I no longer feel in my face
They are replaced with a sensation in a different facial space

But my plans are again strategic
Yesterday I drove to Phoenix

I have been here many times before.
But how to get here I remembered no more.

For all of the above there is no vaccination for immunity
But I try to carry on as usually.
