The Amalfi cost in Italy…
Is dramatic to drive and see.

Laced around the mountain side …
A carved out road not very wide.

The driver was not in a rush…
In this one way traffic by bus.

After every bend…
There was no sight of the end.

All passengers sported smiles…
On this slow roller coaster journey of 45 miles.

Villages very quaint…
Many statues and buildings named after a Saint.

One wonders why buildings do not slide
Off the steep mountain side.

Or with the Vesuvius in the background some day…
They could end up like Pompeii.

But the locals appear…
Relaxed…in their tiny cities…that have a romantic atmosphere

We had lunch with a spectacular view
In a place…very old… but it looked spotless and new.

Life is good here it seems
In a place…that most people only see in their dreams
