New Zealand sheep

DAY 18 – NEW ZEALAND

Bay of Islands…the first day
And during this short stay…

We got to hear and see…
About New Zealand’s history.

A fairly new country compared by most…
A beautiful place on the Pacific coast.

The oldest buildings in Keri Keri are from 1819
Stone buildings before they had not seen.

But vegetation has been here for many centuries…
And we marveled at the exceptional species.
New Zealand

We walked under the giant Kauri trees in the Puketi forest
Which for every visitor to see them… is a must.

Entered the Kawiti cave
Witch was as dark as a grave.

But the ceiling was illuminated
By the light millions of glow worms created.

Auckland was on the agenda the second day…
“City of the sails” …as they say.

Walked the Otakamiro Trail above the sea…
Where thousands of nesting gannets we got to see

It is exiting to explore…
Places not seen before.

We had lunch at a sheep’s farm and watched a dogs participation…
In getting the sheep lined up for a sheering demonstration.

A relaxing drive thru green hills before setting sail again…
A farewell folkloric show of New Zealand woman and men
