We bought the bassinet base
And yards of white lace.

Yellow satin for the lining
That was bright and shining.

The design…my own brand
All sewn by hand!

The first baby bed…
For our daughters Daphne and Colette

It was ready when they arrived
And in it…they very much thrived.

Both were very content…
In this cozy environment.

When Colette was able to sit and play,
I gave the bassinet away.
