I remember
A happy day in 2008 in the month of December,
When Frans and I shed a tear,
After buying each other a new Mercedes that year.
It was to celebrate,
Our retirement that we started years late.
But my loves health did not last
And my world crashed when in 2010 he passed.
I sold my 350SLC
And in memory drive his 550E
When I took my car in June 2012 for regular service,
The place were we had bought it make me feel nervous.
I was told your warranty will expire this year in September.
They ignored that we bought the car in December.
They also told me they had no record of our extended warranty
But I had a copy of the $3010.00 additional purchased policy.
The manager I insisted to see
But I received many excuses as he was to busy to see me.
But his multiple e-mails became very boring.
A lot of rhetoric but my question he kept ignoring.
They probably had hoped that an elderly widow would not insist,
To verify a warranty policy they ignored, but that did exist.
A frustrating ordeal but to my elation
On September 10 I got the confirmation.
My policy does exist indeed
And will be honored at any dealer if in need.
I know Frans would be proud,
For me speaking out loud.
Because his experience buying here his previous car,
Had also been below par.
The car is great but this dealership does not keep the image of M Benz,
Hence,
I am taking their number out of my book
As for their service I will no longer look.
I will no longer do business with the dealer in Long Beach,
There are plenty of other MB dealers within reach.
