It is unbelieving…
How fast the numbers are increasing.

Homelessness is not invisible…
And ignoring it is despicable.

50 million people are homeless across the USA
And exist in horrible conditions day after day.

Elected officials endorsed the organization
That promoted De-institutionalization.

They opened the asylum gates
All over the States.

The “cost saving program” miserably failed
Because the mentally ill are now on the street or jailed.

Laws need to be changed
And programs arranged.

Society has a basic requirement
To provide for every one a safe environment.

Our leaders allow the mentally ill, that cannot make rational decisions,
To be housed in our prisons.

Returning them to a safe mental institution
Is the only solution.

But this funding…
Is not part of the Presidential debates by any candidate running.

The candidate that will address this need
Deserves to succeed.
