It has been awhile since I have seen…
Or experienced…an evening of Halloween

Celtics over 2000 years ago…
Created this show.

Historically representing evil spirits
But that believe now has its limits.

Halloween pumpkins appear every year again
Since they originated in medieval Britain

It is being said…
They lit the way in asking for a prayer for the dead.

Now they are used by kids to find their way
To their neighbors home to say….

And all night long repeat…
“Trick or treat”

Tonight, while visiting my daughter and family in Phoenix I will meet…
Many kids that come to say “trick or treat”

And out of a big bin I allow them to pick…
To prevent them from doing a trick.

They all pleasantly greet
And seem happy with a little treat.

Costumes of ghost. vampires and werewolves vary
But they all look scary.

Little girls before they turn to be a teen
Seem to prefer to dress like a Princess or Queen

No one cares about the history of this night
They just want enough light…

And look dandy
Collecting candy

Traditions have changed …but it was great seeing so many kids run…
Having fun.
