Then any other city in their own Continent.

Named after Charles Darwin an evolutionist
A modern city…with still an idyllic frontier feel… exists

Through many man made and natural crisis this city has prevailed
To rebuilt with pride…its occupants never failed.

After 67 air attacks by the Japanese in WWII…
And being wiped of the map when in 1974 Cyclone Tracy blew.

The weather is tropical…the landscape lush
Life seems easy without rush.

Crocodiles and Chinese outnumber the locals…
Many make a living mining opals.

Tourism is becoming big industry…
Backpackers come to explore and see…

This Northern Territory…
And hope to go home with an exiting story.

We stayed within the City boundaries
And left also with new memories.
