Due to high swells the ship could not dock in Portofino…
And on to Genoa we had to go.

But no one put up a fuss…
Having to do part of the tour by bus.

In charming Santa Margherita we sat on the main square…
And enjoyed among locals a coffee break there .

From there to seaside Rapallo were in the shade…
We walked the palm tree lined Promenade.

By small boat to famous Portofino…
Known for the wine Pinot Grizio,

A small natural port with colorful houses and emerald green water
Where life seems to be no bother.

Vacationers can soak up serenity…
Leisurely

The weather in these historical towns is mostly sunny
But to live here takes money.

Locals seem no longer surprised to see
One more bagging Romania refugee.

Back on the bus we realized that walking to long on a romantic cobblestone street
Does effect the comfort of ones feet.

But to rest we do not yet have a chance…
Tomorrow we are happy to walk in France.
