Friends and family
Celebrated New Year’s Eve with me.

We watched two fireworks across the bay
As 2015 slipped away.

We all did like
The first show at 9 pm on the Pike.

But the best one to be seen…
Was the one at midnight from the Queen.

This evening of fellowship and laughter
We did not end ’til after…

We toasted with champagne,
Hoping next year we can again do the same.

Liesbeth had made “Oliebollen” …a flower and oil treat
A Dutch tradition that at the end of a year they eat.

She and Ans had come from afar
By car.

So did John, Jacky. Ans and Gus,
Because they could also not come by bus.

Dick, Lynne, and Donna, my friend neighbors
Came by elevators!

My stepson Gerard‘s 17 day visit today came to an end
So thankful for the time together, we were able to spend.

Early this morning, Daphne drove him to catch his plane
Then from Amsterdam he will continue home by train…

Phone calls from family far away
Have made this a pleasant day …….

2015…now the past,
Hoping 2016 will not go by too fast.
