Park pantry in Long beach
Is from my home within walking reach

I have been coming here for a long time
Always a favorite breakfast place of mince

But today it was not the same
And it was at my suggestion that with my friends I came

I was embarrassed to say the least
God service seems to have ceased

The decaf was cold
And old

But the waitress said she would be happy to arrange
For an exchange

When the busboy returned with the same cup filled to the rim
In amazement we looked at him

We know now why she said “it wil be no bother”
The busboy said he just added hot water

Low and behold
The next cup was also cold

I decided then
No need to ask again

The order had taken long
And when it came Jim’s order
was wrong

The pepper shaker was defunct
And Ready to be junked

The next one I shook till my hand was sore
Was clogged even more

When they delivered the food The table was still bare
No napkins or silverware

Looking around we could tell
There was more unhappy clientele

Willing to stand here in line
But as of today this restaurant is of the list of mine

I believe the owner who started this
Would turn in his grave about this service off hit and miss

I write about experiences I had
Good…but also bad

Jim and Conny we made the best of having to wait
our visit and conversation was great

But for your generosity to pay the price
I had hoped The service would have been pleasing and nice
