Visitor From Past

VISITOR FROM THE PAST

When I opened the door…
I almost hit the floor.

After I had a glare,
Of the one standing there.

It was a confirmation,
Of a reincarnation.

I could only stare,
Because I saw my friend standing there.

I never saw another,
Look as much as their Mother

It felt as if it was meant to be,
For her to visit me.

She shared her struggles,
And how she still juggles.

But she inherited the strength,
Of my nurse friend.

She has drive,
And knows how to survive.

I am happy she now lives close to me
So we can reminisce often over coffee or tea

And share laughs and tears
Covering 25 lost years.
