If you live long, you will likely age alone-
When you were the last one born at your home.

You will have buried ,your Father and Mother
And also if any, your sister and brother.

You will not be spared-
Letting go, of the ones for who you cared.

I do not need to mention:
That the youngest get a lot of early attention.

And at a young age,
You were already prepared , for this emptiness you would have to face

Hoping you would have enough ambitions,
To carry on the family name and traditions.

And without stagnation ,
Turn it over to the next generation.

And when the family name ends with you-
You will be the last to say: adieu

But you can compromise promoting traditions ,
Under any conditions.

And before long ,
The next generation will carry on,

Because at the end it is all the same
Whether you are being remembered for your traditions or name

What matters is passing on the flame
Without shame.
